The 2022 collection consists of 57 paintings — sometimes featuring very small, half-hidden transformations that lead the eye toward a discovery of constant anatomical change.

Beings that challenge us to explore the possibilities of transformation and sexual interplay between — and within — all genders and creatures. The ever-present need for naked acceptance, whether as a clown, a bird, an animal, young or old.

Perhaps a theatrical necessity in a life where we can all buy change?

In this series, Melanie has primarily used oil, acrylic, and pen, applying her distinctive technique with tools such as potatoes, Scotch-Brite, and a knife.
